UPDATE 02/14/10:
I will be moving to the Boston, MA area at the beginning of March to begin my new job. I have accepted a position as a physical therapist at a well-kown hospital where I will be working with individuals with spinal cord injuries, but on an outpatient basis this time. Although I am understandably nervous about this major change ( I have been living in TX for the past 2.5 years), I am excited to pursue this next step in my career. In addition, it will allow me to be closer to my family and friends, who I have been away from for several years. I know that it will not cure my restless tendencies completely, but hopefully now I can channel that energy towards pursuing some fun adventures and projects.

I am looking to meet new people who share some similiar interests or who would like to lead on some adventures, either big or small. I have a fairly open-mind and am a passionate person, both emotionally and physically. I tend to be a bit too serious at times & enjoy spending time with people who can hold an intellectual conversation, but who also know how to have fun and don't mind allowing their child-like side to come through every now & again.

Alright so I'm gunna start this off with a cliche...never really that great at writing stuff about myself, so ill keep this brief. The names Rohne Monte...at least thats what my friends call me...or just Monte...its all the same the me...I'm a laid back kinda guy who loves to party...if that makes any sense at all...I love movies, music, and just flat out having fun.

I am an Outdoor loving guy who enjoys camping, canoeing and paintball. I try to go camping at least a couple of times a year. I want to do alot more canoeing this year as well. When I watch TV it's usually the History or Discovery channel. For TV shows, Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, Deadliest Catch and Survivorman are regulars. I also recently started watching Fringe and House. Rescue me is also a show I watch as well. Some of my favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The hunt for Red October, Backdraft (I am a former firefighter-best job in the world in my opinion).

I listen to alot of music, but tend to like the 80's and 90's the best, like Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews, etc. I am learning how to play the guitar, and a few of my friends are also playing instruments. We've started getting together to play and it's pretty fun.

I love kids, and I do have children from a previous marriage.

I never know what to say about myself without sounding too pretentious. I'm a simple girl really. I'd rather stay in and cuddle while watching a movie than go to a club. My idea of a night out on the town is a nice restaurant or a show/museum.
After earning my B.A. (Psychology/English) I ran off to Disney World and worked there for a year. I had a fun time there, but I couldn't justify it in the long run. Then I moved back here and realized I don't know what to do next.

I am interested in so many things, And when i find something that catches my attention, i stay passionate about it. I enjoy many physical activities, the top being sailing, windsurfing, and mountain biking. I found that at school, i loved the pickup games of dodgeball we would play every thursday night. what interests me most about those activities is that you need to think in them. sailing, especially racing, has been likened to chess on the water, and it's true, but in chess you only think, while in sailing you have to trust your instincts.

I have a very wide range of humor. Complicated, and/or dry humor, like Black Adder or Monty Python is good, but even better is Family Guy, South Park, Simpsons, and The Office type. I love to tell jokes, especially terrib(ly awesome) jokes, chuck full of innuendo (in your endo...) and inside joke situations. Finding something to laugh about has gotten me through a lot of tough situtations.

I've never signed up for one of these before but it's so hard to meet people these days. Clubs and bars are so loud that you can't even hear yourself think, let alone carry on a conversation! If someone told me in college, "hey, these are the most men you're ever going to have your pick from and it's just going to get harder as you get older, so get crackin'" - I probably would have listened. Unfortunately, I was more concerned with my studies than dating. Not to say that I stayed in all the time and studied 24-7 because I didn't - I was fine just going out every weekend and having fun with my friends and not stressing about the opposite sex. I dated occasionally in college and grad school but now it's just getting increasingly difficult to meet new people.
I have a good job, like to go out and have fun (even at said noisy clubs and bars!), like to cook and bake too. My background is Italian with a little bit of Irish thrown in there, so family and food go hand-in-hand :-) I love movies, the new stuff as well as the old. I've been a Netflix member for about 8 years and have been taking full advantage of their massive collection of DVD movies and TV shows. I like to read too, mostly fluff stuff, I especially like a good thriller. But I made a deal with myself recently that for every fluff book I read, I need to read something that I probably should have read, almost akin to a summer reading list from high school. I also like going to the theater in Boston, as well as going into NYC occasionally for a show. I have also started going to the opera and really like it. I like all kinds of music, well maybe not club music and definitely not the kind that take awesome 70's and 80's songs and remix them to an almost unrecognizable mess. I'm a fan of 60's, 70's, and 80's music and am sad that oldies radio stations are now playing 80's music because it makes feel, well, old. I love drawing and painting too, but I just don't seem to have the time for it anymore. I do tap into my creativity with my goddaughter - she like to draw, paint, and do crafts so we work well together :-) I love kids and I can see myself having some someday, but I'm not so set on when that someday will be. I'm just looking for someone to share my life with and go from there. What happens beyond that is just gravy.

Hey I'm Anthony, I'm 24 years young, with a bright future ahead of me. Currently I am working as a graphic designer & illustrator, and it is by far the best job I've ever had, honestly! The chaos and deadlines and numerous projects that come up can get quite daunting, when you have co-workers constantly asking you "how there projects" are coming along. I guess you can say that just makes the job far more interesting and chaotic, but I'm enjoying every second of it. I am a very goal oriented person, and this may sound greedy but I'm hoping that this is just the beginning of my long awaited dream career. This is so hard to do. No matter what I write you have read it before. Nevertheless, I am a very young 55 year old woman who has raised two incredibly amazing young men. I have a vocation that gets me high everyday. I am an English Teacher at a local school and I love being with teenagers everyday. I love myself, my children, books, music and swimming in he ocean. I am very bright. I have lots of common sense and am street smart. Oh yeah, I am quite attractive (pics to come). I am well read and a curious, deep thinker. Now do you think you know me? Well I am 22 Certified in HVAC, in the process of starting my own business, and I currently work with computers. Yeah I know I am not your typical female. I also have a passion for horses and hard demanding jobs. I LOVE working out even though I am not the most in shape person I am not ashamed of my weight I weigh 170 but I know my limits I will not wear skin tight clothing or a two peice :) ha ha that's not cute. well i'll start off with the obvious most people tell me i look like a 70's rocker usually robert plant or that ilk. ironic since i have no musical talent and can't hold a beat or sing as well as bob dylan. i smoke just under a pack of cigs a day and am happy i don't like to drink since i get addicted to things super easily.

i have a angry streak that comes out time and again, my friends still joke about times when i would get surprised by say being hit on the back of the head by falling 2X4 and throwing around a 300lbs. timber in rage. even with the angry streak i'm pretty much a pacifist (i.e. i refuse to touch others in anger). though if one likes formal boxing or sword fighting; i enjoy those as long as both parties are fighting for fun not for a purpose.

i most of the time i just play with magic cards (i like to build decks more than play them), storytelling role-playing games (namely world of darkness), and playing around on my computer (most recently Civ4). i'm avid mac fan but am starting to learn the joys of GNU and linux as i've been working on computer science degree at hampshire college for 2 years. during the summers i spend most of my waking life doing an internship at a high tech company in Chelmsford.

Why? Why must the self summary be mandatory? Yes I am one of the MANY Okcupid users that only signed up to take tests because I was bored. Yet I also do like to check out the woman who I am "matched" with. I am also one of the many that would normally start this damn summary with "i hate these things, and don't no where to begin" Yet somehow I didn't. =P

I guess the best way to describe me is an uber Geek, lover of Sci-Fi and some Fantasy (not so much Unicorns and Fairies as a touch of dark magic or something, read George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series and that's the kind of stuff I like.) I'm quite content to spend a night in with my family but sometimes I can be persuaded to go out on the town. I also enjoy. I also love sleep, I just can't stress that enough. I don't think there is a more comfortable feeling then just spending a few hours dozing. It's very relaxing.

I love animals am a big fan of dogs, cats, birds, mice etc. I even like snakes, though some animals that could be kept as pets such as Tarantulas tend to freak me out, I'm not a big fan of insects. I also love going to Barnes and Noble or Borders, buying some coffee and just relaxing with a book or trying to write.

I am a full time English Major student at UMass Boston, living in Winthrop, and trying to figure out what the fuck I'm going to do with my life. I write about everything and anything, whether it's original or fan fiction. I'm heavily involved in online fandoms and communities, which really isn't all that important except I make weird references sometimes.

I have a love of mostly fantasy books (which means I live in my head most of the time), with the occasional trashy romance novel, if just to laugh at them. Mostly, right now, I'm gobbling up any comic I can get my hands on. I also love art, especially Asian art, and textiles.

I have been to England, Ireland, and Wales, and one of these days I will more and have a wonderful adventure. I have horrible wanderlust, and it itches very badly sometimes. The only time I ever seem to get out is when my friends and I travel for conventions - be them anime, comic, or sci-fi/fantasy ones. (IE - Anime Boston, Otakon, New York ComicCon, (hopefully) San Deigo ComicCon)

I love almost anything Japanese. I have a huge respect for the culture and it's art. It probably helps that I was way into anime, manga. I am way into cosplay and have fun planning my costumes (yes, you can ask me about that. No, this does not mean I dress up as people from Naruto). I also love their music, though any music in any language is perfectly awesome. And anything that comes out of Square-Enix, especially if it has anything to do with Nomura Tetsuya. So yes, I am one of those mythical girl gamers.

I'm Pagan and I take it mildly seriously. I would suppose this means I'm a witch, and I don't really mind that. :)
I'm down to earth, even if I do live in my head a lot. I'm a Sagittarius, and I'm a perfect embodiment of one. Seriously. We like fire, a LOT. This is a warning. If you want to get a better idea about me, go look up Sagittarius on Wiki. Seriously, it's spooky how accurate it is!

Other than that, the only other thing to know is that I'm open-minded and willing to try anything at least once.
